The Blue Four: Feininger, Jawlensky, Kandinsky, Paul Klee
$18.00Price
Book published coinciding an exhibition in 1984 at the Leonard Hutton Galleries in NYC. Lyonel Feininger, Alexej von Jawlensky, Wassily Kandinsky, and Paul Klee became known as "the Blue Four" in the 1920's after signing a contract and banding together to take their work international. This could not have happened without the help of their friend, MME Galka Scheyer, a German art collector who brought a selection of their works to America. Since then they have held many exhibitions together, with this one taking place on the 60th anniversary of the signing of the contract.
Softcover, 82 pages.
