Kienholz: A Retrospective

$35.00Price

Kienholz, first referring to Edward Kienholz and then the husband/wife team of Edward and Nancy Reddin Kienholz, have a long career of works spanning a bunch of mediums. These guys dabbled in everything, scultpure, painting, etc, touching a number of topics: politics, the war, civil rights, sex work, etc. This is an exhibition catalog published alongside Keinholz's retrospective at the Whitney in NYC, MCA in LA, and then Berlin in 1996 and 1997, full cover, a LOT of art alongside descriptions and meanings. Check out the following works from Kienhoz to get the gist: Back Seat Dodge (1964), The Birthday (1964), The Portable War Memorial (1968), The White Cup (1984-85), O'er Ramparts We Watched Fascinated (1959), etc.

Softcover, 300 pages.

1996.

Condition: decent, a lot of creasing on the spine (someone actually read it!), some warping on front cover.
